My honeymoon in Perù

Back from our honeymoon in Perù...a wonderful place! I didn't expect to spend so many beautiful days in that country and to visit extraordinary pieces of history such as Machu Picchu, Titicaca lake, Taquile,Ollantaytambo.... an experience that everyone should do once in a life!!

We did it!

On Dec. 8th me & Javier got married! so now I bacame Mrs Herrera and half-peruvian :)

My dress is a copy made by my mom of the 1912 gown I purchased a year ago on etsy (you can see

some pictures on a previous post).

excursus acquae

Yesterday morning me & Javier went to a place called excursus acquae, near Narni. It's a sort of route used by Romans near Licinetto fount, where we have been last week. It's very difficult to reach because it's down on an abandoned path in the woods (where I also broke my shoes on the wet rocks), but it's worth the effort ,don't you think so?!

Pink Playsuit

Yesterday me & my man went to the countryside to pick some flowers to make a flower salad :)
We went to Itieli a (very) small medieval town where I used to live when I was a child. I love this place. We went for a walk in the woods, and for the occasion I wore for the very 1st time my handmade dress with alpin stars, the typical Tyrolean flower. I bought this fabric last year during my holydays in Sud-Tyrol and it costed me more than everything  I have in my closet put together...but it was worth the price indeed:)
this little church is exactly in the middle of the woods, I think it's gorgeous flower salad made with lettuce, roses, mallow, poppy and dandelion, dressed with olive oil, salt and lemon juice! I really recommend you to try it!

rainy sunday...again

yesterday me & Javier went for a road trip to the countryside, but we had just the time to take a couple of pictures that it started raining, and it's still raining while I'm writing this post, as well! what a strange spring, we're becoming more and more a tropical country :(( I missed the weather I used to know.

long time ago...

after 3 months I'm finally back here. This had been a very very complicated period to me : first, I was taking my last 2 exams at university and writing my thesis on Kim Ki-duk. I had my specialization degree in korean language & archaeology on march 23 and I'm sooooo happy!! In the meantime my bellydance school was preparing a big show in my town with international artists from Italy and Egypt so i was super-busy with it too... I woke up early in the morning and came back home at midnight...I was so tired and never had time to do anything. Plus, this year we were litterally submerged by snow, so internet didn't work well for many many days...What a winter!!!!
the positive facts are that I went on with my collection of edwardian garments (I have about 15 pieces) and started a new collections, victorian dollhouses!

Edwardian wedding gown

I really hope Javier is not reading this :)
Yesterday evening I received my latest purchase from etsy Usa: a beautiful edwardian (original) wedding gown,which I dated 1912 after some researches on websites. Up to now,I purchased many antique accessories (a mesh purse,a pair of early '900 leather gloves,a 50s purse and beauty-case...)but this is the very first antique gown.It's got some stains,but I purchased it because it was a great deal (only 60 euro) and I'm also going to use its pattern to create my own wedding gown. A part from the stains,it would have been to small to wear anyways,since waist is only 60 cm!!corsets were really the greatest part of a woman's wardrobe...
